A Poem About The Beach - When Life Becomes Overwhelming


This poem about the beach evokes a feeling that many of us share. The beach is a place we go to get away from it all, to feel a sense of freedom not experienced anywhere else.


The sheer size and expanse of the sea makes me feel so small, and any problem, worry or fear that might be lingering somewhere inside shrinks along with it.

When Life Becomes Overwhelming


When life becomes overwhelming
And things seem out of reach
Like lifeguards we will rescue each other
And seek the safety of the beach


Here we'll find wealth in sand dollars
Starfish along our walk of fame
Sea glass filling our treasure chests
Our happiness we will reclaim


Together we will watch the sunset
A million stars shining over the beach
Like a sea of sparkling diamonds
We'll catch each one within our reach
