The Sea Garden

Through stalks of kelp a forest I see
Living and breathing beneath the sea
Shafts of sunlight shining through
Turn moss green leaves into a golden hue
I weave my way through these giant plants
As leaves brush my skin in their aquatic dance

Floating over an underwater lea
Seagrass set in motion by the movement of the sea
I pause to loll on its soft green bed
Out of the corner of my eye I glimpse something red

Shades of ruby, crimson, scarlet and rose
Found where the bloom of red algae grows
Sprays of lavender, violet, mauve and amethyst
As purple sea urchins to and fro twist

A palette of color so brilliantly infused
On a reef of coral in rainbow hues
While fish of every shape and size
Add splashes of iridescence before my eyes

A sensual oasis to unwind and release
As I drift languidly over this sea garden masterpiece
